Crosstalk Technical Services have been a significant contributor to the success of Christian Venues Association’s conference events for over eight years. In my time as CEO of the Association, I appreciated the professionalism, advice, commitment, timeliness, support and overall excellent work by Steve and his team. Not only had they covered the technical aspects of the audio-visual needs completely but did so as a partner in ministry.
Crosstalk’s founder, Steve Williams, began technical ministry whilst still in High School. This ad-hoc ministry grew until the late 1980’s when Crosstalk Technical Services was set up to offer specialist production, technical advice and training services to churches, schools and Christian organisations predominantly in Sydney and the surrounding suburbs.
Whilst working as a teacher, Steve spent many holidays and weekends doing tech related ministry as well as undertaking a number of school-based productions. It was during the late 1990’s that it became obvious there was a clear need for a ministry-based approach to the provision of technical services in a way where training, skill-sharing and partnership underpinned the ministry.
Identifying a significant need for production and event services offered specifically within a ministry framework, Steve left his school teaching career to focus entirely on Crosstalk Technical Services from 2004. Since then, Steve and a more than 20-strong team of like-minded “techies” have built Crosstalk into a reputable provider, trusted by high profile schools, churches and conference organisers to deliver professional events, training and technical support with honesty and integrity.
